What's New with Tiffany
Well, I'm not playing City of Heroes any more. I don't really want to go in to why, but I have not been playing for a while and decided it was about time I did something with my old blog.
So what is occupying my time these days? I have been playing World of Warcraft some. Mostly because I have a number of close friends who play - all of whom moved to WoW from CoH. While I enjoy playing WoW with my friends, it's not the type of game I feel inclined to write about. There also seems to be less need to delve into its mechanics, like I did with CoH.
Outside of WoW, I'm waiting to see what in the new crop of online games seems interesting. I'm keeping an eye on Conan. I don't really think Tabula Rasa or Warhammer are my cup of tea. Of course, the new Marvel MMO has some appeal, but that's pretty far off.
Beyond that, I seem to be spending more time watching anime and reading manga.
Claymore 6
I've been watching Claymore and managed to catch episode 6 this week. I really enjoy this anime. While it is a bit violent, it somehow manages to seem less about fighting than other popular shows like Bleach. Especially since the storyline started to delve into Clare's past, it has gotten more and more interesting. I'll admit to even being surprised by the direction it took at the end of this episode.
Bleach 126
I didn't like Bleach when I first started watching it. It was just too much about fighting. I stuck with it for a while, though, and eventually pieces of a story started to peek through and piqued my interest. I still have mixed feelings about this show. There are times when it seems almost poiniant and there are times when it seems like it's taking way too long for it to get anywhere.
I just finished watching episode 126. While parts of it were fun, it didn't really do much to carry the story forward. I guess right now we're stuck watching all the main characters attempts to grow. Ichigo, Orihime, Sado, and Ishida all have their moment in this episode and there are plenty of hints they all have undiscovered potential.
Naruto: Shippuden 13
Naruto intrigued me more than Bleach, at the beginning. It didn't take quite as long with to see something interesting in the characters and get involved in the story. However, like Bleach, Naruto contains a lot of fighting and can take a long time to progress. I followed the first few major story lines and then skipped a whole bunch in between out of boredom. I recently started watching again with Naruto Shippuden and so far I like what I see. The current pacing of Naruto seems to be better than Bleach.
This episode has us in the middle of fighting, but we moved here pretty quickly. Also, juggling between the two teams and opponents seems to help make it a bit less tedious!
Sakura is starting to become my hero! She really seems to have developed into a strong character against any hope I had for her in the past.
Le Chevalier D'eon
I watched the first few episodes of Le Chevalier D'eon. Maybe I'll have time to catch a few more and jot down some thoughts later!
