Update from Incendiary Lass
My protoge, Incendiary Lass, gave me another update today:
Henry Peter Wong has asked me to investigate reports of Vahzilok in the sewers. Apparently, they've been using the sewers to steal bodies from mortuaries in Kings Row. It doesn't seem likely to be related to my mother's premonitions, but i agreed to look into it.

Incendiary Lass battles a Valhizok cadaver
My Second Circle mastery of the amulet's powers have allowed me to improve my resistance. Now when i activate the amulet, i'm surrounded by a circle of protection that appears to reduce the effect of any damage. This is probably a good thing as the Vahzilok have taught me the amulet's First Circle powers do not protect me from the toxic fluid the zombies spit from their mouths or from the poison their Reapers use to coat their quarrels.

Incendiary Lass slashes Stitcher with her Fire Sword
This group of Vahzilok were led by a strange creature who called himself Stitcher ... something like a pathwork man. His powers were really no match for mine, but his minions were certainly trying. My magic simply does not counter their attacks very well. I'll have to watch out for them in the future.
Okay, i've done the "Defeat Stitcher and his minions" mission so many times now ... Its one of the better early missions because of all the glowies. They're 21 xp a piece at this level and there are easily ten or spread throughout the mission.
The zombies are tough, though. Even with UY running, a yellow zombie can take me to half my health in two attack cycles. Get two of those and a Reaper together and this tanker isn't that far away from a trip to the hospital. Just a note: I could pretty much ignore the Enbalmed; outside hitting them once to make sure I got xp when they blew themselves up. With RPD, TI, and UY, the explosion was only doing around 25 points of damage and they're gone after that (Although sometimes i got a double damage effect ... maybe you have to at least try to back away). A vomit spitting cadaver who sticks around after he hurls is a much bigger threat.
I leveled to 9 mid-mission and against the zombies i'm seeing about 30+ points of damage from Fire Sword and 17+ points of damage from Scorch.
